Having been here for way too long I can tell you that these days happen every once in a while. Some of these type days are conciliatory but some of them are like today.

Insightful. Informative. And flat out hilarious. I've literally laughed out loud about 10 times today at posts and responses.

Back in the days with the full steam of the corporate media promoting the war with Iraq and feeling isolated here in a red red state I found people that live in the reality based world here on DU.

And yes, there are so many people here that make me laugh and are so sharp with their humor.

First, many thanks! Where I work, there is no access to TV (other than via Internet, and we're way too busy to live-stream or even surf YouTube), so checking DU on breaks is extremely helpful.

Second, please reinforce the firewall and take other security measures to avoid a recurrence of the election night blackout. The same Русские (either ethnic or their mercenaries) who were responsible for that attack are no doubt honing their cyber-weapons for another attack, following recent developments. We cannot afford another blackout.
