Nota Bene to Republicans in Senate:
Pay close attention to what is going on. You have a very brief time period in which to avoid being classed as traitors. Follow John McCain's lead on this Trump/Russian thing or you will risk shame that cannot be erased.
This has gone beyond partisan politics, and now has to do with the national security of the United States. Putin is not a friend of the United States, nor is he your friend.
Think, if you are still able to do so and consider changing your party and voting with the Democrats. If you do not, it will not end well for you. There is a change coming. Be part of it or begone. Those are your choices.
Frankly, it won't bother me if you go down in disgrace, but I'm offering this opportunity to you out of the kindness of my Democratic heart. Think and do the right thing, or fail. It's up to you, ladies and gentlemen of the Senate.

Our grandchildren will tell their grandchildren of what is transpiring right now in our country and in the world, much as my grandparents told me what WW II was like and my parents told me what the Kennedy assassination was like. Everyone is somehow caught in history, but in this moment, it is writ large.
