Maybe I see things through partisan lens but it seems Trump is killing the GOP brand. Lots of folks voted for him because they wanted to see him blow shit up and they could watch the fallout, but most folks have some interest in preserving some semblance of normalcy. Most people run from a fire, not into it.
I can't believe your nominal GOP officeholder thinks this is good.

(5,754 posts)when Georgia 6 votes. A massive amount of money is going into this special election, and Karen Handel isn't attractive. She's been around a long time and has a lot of baggage. Jon Ossoff is young and geeky, a little like Justin Trudeau, but certainly a new face. If the GOP brand has suffered, Jon will win bigly.

The rest are either doing a rendition of "well, he wasn't a real republican" or "I didn't actually vote for him".
Edit: Forgot to mention, soon as a "sane" GOP guy comes around the latter will not hesitate to vote for him. Its the former they will have to win over.
