The Trump children care more about the Will than they do their father.

Otherwise, they would get that man the help he so desperately needs and is crying out for with every unhinged tweet, every reactionary move he makes, and every word-salad interview he gives.

They talk about how they love and respect him, yet they are willing to let him to go through a very public meltdown. It gets them what they want to allow it. I'm not shocked by their indifference - they are simply emulating their father. For them, this is all normal - and in the end, they gain something from it.

The GOP doesn't care as long as he promotes their own warped agenda and signs their bills.

Pence doesn't care because he's counting on Trump being removed from office.

His supporters don't care because they are oblivious to what is so plainly in front of them. They even cheer it.

The rest of us are watching in horror as Trump's spiral into the abyss continues; taking the country with him.

We're not celebrating the damage to the country his instability is causing. His descent into his own private bottomless chasm is something most knew would come - the evidence was already there.

While there is some schadenfreude involved, it's the destruction he and the GOP are bringing about with their mutual hold on the others own brand of callous indifference that is keeping us awake at night.

Trump will be found in some dark corner of the White House, lying in a heap, and crying out for whatever his "Rosebud" happens to be.

America is at the mercy of the opportunistic greed and thirst for power of his children and the GOP. They don't care what happens as long as they get what they want.

I don't care if Trump gets so far gone he can never come back - Trump is unfit to hold office and he's a shitty human - but I don't want him taking the country with him.

And I am very aware that Pence (Ryan, Hatch, etc..) brings with him his own brand of delusional thinking that will also harm the nation. Have you looked at the presidential line of succession lately? It's a complete fuck-a-rama of mega proportions.

My rant came about because of the latest ego-maniacal tweet-storm by the increasingly "beyond the realm of normal", developmentally arrested, orange coated puffed-up popinjay. That Trump needs help is obvious. It's also equally as obvious that he would never admit to needing help, much less seeking it.

Yet he gets to play at being president, while treating America like his own personal toy - an unloved chew toy, at that. One he doesn't mind shredding into bits and pieces, all the while wondering why he's out of things to play with.

America will become a reflection of Trump's own damaged psyche if he isn't stopped. (and we deal with that enough already with various members of the GOP...Sessions, for example.)

I can even see that the bulk of his care-giving has fallen to Ivanka Trump.

But I would never have allowed someone I loved to be put in such a situation. Even if I couldn't stop it, I wouldn't actively support it either.

But I do know how helpless it feels to be unable to prevent it.

I think the Gorsuch/Garland steal will only be revisited in debate forums and media print. Unfortunately, it will be more a case of saying it can never happen again. And we all know how that goes.

Yeah, I think it's pretty clear that they like the power, money, and fame he has given them, but they give not a shit for him. Any decent family member would have told him to stop running for president before this shit show hit the first Republican debate. They're heading toward being one of the most hated families in American history...but I guess they don't care because they'll all be living the billionaire lifestyle come 2020 and beyond.

no way anyone in my family would be in this shape w/o me dragging their ass to the doctor.

the cabinet has the power to send him over to walter reed for a real physical. if they had a shred of patriotism, or human decency, they would do just that. whatever it takes.
slip him a roofie in his diet coke, and get his ass over there.
