There is only one way out that I see. Rosenstein needs to put a special prosecutor in place.

It can happen on his word. On that one point, he is the most powerful man in the world.

He enjoyed a bipartisan reputation for fairness and impartiality when he was US Attorney in Maryland. His memo to Trump, in my view, was a mugging by Trump and Sessions.

I can only imagine how weighty a decision it must be when, suddenly, you go from deciding about defendants to deciding about a US President. That is no small matter. The burden of the decision is, in a literal sense, awesome.

The entire course of history, again, quite literally, can rest on his shoulders.

Which Rosenstein should not consider in his decision. He only has to weigh if independence must be assured.

The decision is an easy one. More so when you consider tRump's outspoken innocence on the matter.

Right?
