Trump Retreats Into His Bubble

https://politicalwire.com/2017/05/13/trump-retreats-bubble/

"SNIP..............

“After four months in office, President Donald Trump has become distrustful of some of his White House staff, heavily reliant on a handful of family members and longtime aides, and furious that the White House’s attempts to quell the firestorm over the FBI and congressional Russia investigations only seem to add more fuel,” the AP reports.

“Several people close to the president say his reliance on a small cadre of advisers as he mulled firing Comey reflects his broader distrust of many of his own staffers. He leans heavily on daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kusher, as well as Hope Hicks, his trusted campaign spokeswoman and Keith Schiller, his longtime bodyguard.”

“Trump confidants say Bannon has been marginalized on major decisions, including Comey’s firing, after clashing with Kushner.”

New York Times: “Trump is growing increasingly dissatisfied with the performance of his chief of staff, Reince Priebus; the communications director, Michael Dubke; and Mr. Spicer, a Priebus ally, according to a half-dozen West Wing officials who said the president was considering the most far-reaching shake-up of his already tumultuous term.”

and goes 'rogue' will the GOP pols in House and Senate finally break off their lovefest with him?

Will they finally get that Trump has ZERO loyalty to ANY political party or country, that Trump is out only for TRUMP?

Very time consuming and frenetic job

The only explanation that seems reasonable to me at to why Rense took that job is that he's the RNC's inside guy. He could be on a victory lap right now but opted for a 28/8 job.

Bannon could ruin Trump if he cuts him loose. That's not saying that Bannon would but he could.

Other than Bannon the names came to my memory as establishment RNC types. Is my memory off?

I was just thinking if Trump ditches Bannon and all the RNC establishment twits and locks down to only those close friends and family he trusts would the GOP representatives finally be more inclined to get a special prosecutor and/or to really investigate and impeach him?

As for Spicer, yes, I know about the turnover, but it was incredibly obvious that he was in over his head from the very beginning that I wouldn't be surprised if he were given a pink slip soon, if he doesn't quit or get admitted to a padded room first. I think I'd sort of miss him though. At least we've gotten some comedy gold from him.

I agree completely I was just giving my 2 cents.

The RNC turning on him is going to be a big leap for them. We do have to realize that he's the leader of their party so he should have a strong hand in staffing and operations. He can't staff the exec branch let alone operations at RNC. THAT is a hidden virus that could be very bad news for them. We'll see.

they're going to let him blow the party up completely. I keep thinking, Are they suicidal or will self preservation kick in soon?

If the party does make like the Hindenburg I'm sure they'd rebuild it in time (maybe with a new name). Hopefully in the meanwhile Democrats would grab the opportunity to finally make some major headway on the progress our country really needs going into the future.

HST's work would have been epic in the current environment.

Or better still, perhaps we could have avoided the current environment.

The most important insight into his psyche is this manbaby is entirely self centered.

It is impossible for spokespeople to accurately represent him. It's like hiring a press secretary for a cranky two-year-old.
