I've seen some posts saying the GOP would be chastised for what they have done, and turn into lame ducks.
Nope.
After Watergate the GOP went nuts.
A kind of Bat shit crazy that keeps growing to this day.

They blamed the media.
They blamed the Democrats for a witch hunt.
They did everything except take responsibility for what Nixon and the rest actually did.

Then the GOP dove deep into the Moral Majority and decided that labeling ALL government as bad would be the way to cover up the fact that the Republicans were the ones who created the biggest Presidential scandal in our history.

Do not look for accountability or remorse for their mistakes after this is all over.
That's not hope the GOP works.

They will be vindictive instead.
They will gut Medicare and Social Security.
They will drop all taxes on the 1%.
Anything they can do to fuck average Americans will be done, faster and meaner than right now.

Pence is EXACTLY what the GOP's dream president looks like, which is why they never could have won an election with him, and, indeed, why he was not a serious contender in the primaries. Pence is serious trouble. He thinks the catechism is God's instructions on how to reincarnate Torquemada in Pence's image. Ryan feels the same way about himself.
