The woman I spoke to was very nice. She promised that my call would be noted and that my message would be conveyed.
She also said that they had been receiving a lot of calls about Lawrence. She said that yesterday, all of a sudden, they were getting a whole lot of calls about Lawrence O'Donnell. A lot of the people there--the operators who answer the phones--didn't know who he was and so they googled him and found out.
I made it clear that he was the reason I watched MSNBC at 10 PM and that if he was taken off the air I wouldn't be watching anything else on their network in that time slot.

(9,524 posts)Yesterday called Comcast and was told to send email here:
nbcuniversalviewerfeedback@nbcuni.com
Told that the decision is NBCs and Comcast has no say; the people answering the phones have been told to tell people to email that address. The guy was very nice and said "Get your friends to send emails - the more they get, the better." Sounded like he wanted to keep Lawrence.
Just now called NBC corporate HQ in New York.
30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY - 10112
(212) 664-4444
Operator will switch you to a menu; push 7 to leave comments on O'Donnell show.
I called back to ask if there were any other ways to reach the decision makers and he said this is what the customer service reps have been told is the only place to leave feedback. He said they are getting a lot of calls.
Thread from yesterday on this has a few other places:

(14,173 posts)Now even money is not enough for these scumbags. I think they hated how Rachel and O'Donnell and Joy Reid began to expose the fallacies in the Republican party positions and were popular because of it. But they liked that there was a market for that (the truth, who knew?) and were able to make money from it. That's the only reason it was even allowed on air. I think it was an experiment to have a network news station that had on both right and left hosts. Surprise surprise, the more liberal hosts became the stars of the network. So now its come to a head, and money itself isn't enough. They have to silence the truth. Lack's plan is to slowly remove liberal hosts, maybe start with putting them in bad time slots and then using the excuse that they don't have enough viewers (at 2 in the morning) before finally letting them go and using ex-Fox News talking heads.

(6,916 posts)A protest at Comcast Philly or MSNBC New York would have a big impact.

(3,827 posts)I've seen A LOT of tweets in support of him the past couple of days- Twitter users also posted Lack's & Griffin's phone numbers and emails.
Right now it doesn't look good for him.

(3,194 posts)I'm sure the decision has already been made, and they're shredding the records of the calls coming in to support him.
Perhaps a Miracle will happen, and he'll be renewed, but I'm sure they've already decided to can his show, and any so-called "negotiations," are merely to make you think they're trying to work something out. Take my word...they're not.
Obviously they feel the need to move closer to Fux in terms of reporting. Fair & Balanced, no doubt.

(409 posts)After I said I was calling about Lawrence O'Donnell there was a click and a robot said "leave your message after the beep"....I left my message after the beep. Lawrence matters. And I hope it is a good sign they need a robot to handle the calls.

(41 posts)I talked to the office of the president of Comcast and told they were not keeping a tally and gave me an email address to comment: nbcuniversalviewerfeedback@nbcuni.com
Not very satisfying.

(6,916 posts)People on streets in front of Comcast would help.
Bad press coverage would hurt Comcast's other interests too.

(51,585 posts)When will we know the truth about the final decision. Wait, I just remembered. This is Trumpland and not America any longer. The definition of "truth" has been changed. Corruption, fraud, deceit, collusion, treachery, etc have replaced truth.
