We've had over 10 inches of rain in the past two days in 11 of fourteen parishes

and it isn't over yet.

Worse though is that it is now heading for the same part of Haiti that was devastated by Hurricane Matthew last year. Eastern Cuba, including Gitmo, is also under the kosh!!!

Watching a local press conference - they said this is the most rain in nearly a decade.

But do you have a rainy season as such? I've been up north in Queensland in the rainy season and it's pretty incredible.

and then between September and October.

We've had two years of drought but we haven't seen anything like this in years. Last night was something else - it rained all night with serious lightning. More rain tonight - should disappear by Thursday.

The drought really broke last year - the reservoirs and dams are overflowing.
This is something else. Haven't seen rain this heavy for so long since 76.

To think hurricane season starts in two weeks. It mat well rain until September

We're north of Tampa and have been very lucky. But we were in SFL during Andrew. One doesn't forget.

Guyana has counties but most of the former British colonies have parishes and yet many were French before the Brits took over.

Law is based on the Napoleonic Code, as opposed to English Law like the rest of us.
This especially shows up in estate lines of inheritance.
I've had experience with this.
