Neither McCabe or Comey had/have any place to turn. Certainly not to the Dept of Justice with Sessions and Rosenstein, the latter who has already demonstrated he can be compromised. Certainly not the GOP led Congress that pretends to investigate, but more interested in repealing healthcare and tax cuts of the rich. If they go to the Democrats, it just looks more partisan.

Comey, releasing his memo to the press, albeit an audio version, was his only route. I'm sure McCabe is playing the same game. Everything is fine upfront, but they are writing memos like crazy - then all of those memos will eventually end up in the Impeachment record.

If he and his minions have been that desperate to shut down the investigation there must be more "there" there than we've even imagined.

I hope this doesn't turn into another one of those "for the good of country" cover ups. (Like Nixon's interfering with the peace talks or Iran Contra.)

The Repukes will turn on a dime and make it an issue of "this is exactly what the Russians want, to tear apart our Country." The media will immediately jump on board and the objective will be to limit the fallout to only the Trumps.

If one lesson needs to be learned from history, this is it. Dems must fight and jail each and everyone of the guilty parties, each and every member of the anti American Republican party needs to be treated as a recovering cult member. Otherwise we will have another catastrophe ten to fifteen years down the road.
