The contemporary Republican Party has demonstrated that it no longer is what it claims to be.
Alleging to be a political oriented group, it appears that they have devolved into a criminal organization intent on propagation of power and cash while disenfranchising, marginalizing and destabilizing the norms of American society. This fits quite well with Russian efforts to diminish American influence in the world.
Trump's exposure of classified intelligence from Israel will be certain to have at least two consequences that will undermine America.
The first is that intelligence agencies who cooperated with us in the past no longer can safely do so. They will now have to weigh whether or not it is in their interests to share vital information with a nation whose leader cares little for the concerns of fellow nations.
The second is that our own intelligence groups will have to decide what information the president may be allowed to view or be briefed on. They must take into consideration whether or not he may expose the details of briefings and the inherent dangers in risking certain types of information in the briefings.
Both of these endanger our nation in a way never before experienced. If you can't trust our nation's leader, as a practical matter, to keep classified information secure we are all less secure.
