When a guest on RW radio doesn't follow the script - this AM

On the way to work this morning I switched over to the all powerful right wing WRVA 1140 AM. Their hourly news actually mentioned the latest self made s-storm hitting the clustertrump- Trump asking Comey to drop the Flynn investigation. I was surprised.

Then the morning host had on an "expert" to discuss Trump telling Lavrov about the Israeli MOSSAD exploding laptop info. The host tried to poo-poo it saying "Didn't we already know about this? Ha ha ha". The story he was referencing was that MOSSAD agents are "boiling mad" about the leak.


What followed was clearly not what the host expected, the expert (missed his name) proceeded to spell out the following:
The exclusive US-Israeli intel relationship
The relationship between Russia Iran and Assad in Syria
How any info is immediately transferred by Russia to Iran
This leak confirms that Mossad has someone on the inside of ISIS and this narrows down geographically where that contact is
The insider's life is at risk but more importantly the incredible effort by Mossad will go for naught if they have to extract the source which will be almost impossible to do again
The likelihood that Mossad and other allies of the US will be hesitant to share some info with us
The incredible vulnerability this puts us and everyone in

He just kept spelling out how DISASTROUS this has been. The host couldn't get the conversation back on track to his agenda regardless of what he asked.

At the end the host paused sighed and said "Okay. Thanks" almost like the exasperated sports reporter in the famous "BOOM goes the dynamite" video. I was cracking up.

27. Se have to track RW media to some extent to know what they are seeing and hearing.

This helps to better understand the reason our country is spiraling down like Trump's presidency.

RW media is pure propaganda designed to keep the Republican base from abandoning them and to go to the voting booth. After the Comey firing they have focused on speculating whether the new FBI Director will re-open the Hillary email investigation. They also have crawlers and other banners indicating that Liberals are pitching fits or melting down...

Another distraction is to focus on finding the leakers as if the leaking of the information of the crimes etc., is the focus rather than what Trump has done so wrong. The next distraction is that Comey should have said something earlier about his conversations with Trump and his memos. Again, focus on the whistleblower and not the alleged perp!

The RW media keeps their viewers ignorant of what is really going on and gets them angry and afraid. This is the biggest reason they out perform Democrats in voting. Trump and the Republicans mis-deeds and scandals have made us angry and afraid which will cause us to get out and vote for the next couple of cycles at least.

We must get the money out of politics and upon retaking control of the political spectrum we must bust up the media oligopolies and institute truth requirements in the news again. Fox News should not be allowed to lie and call it "entertainment" as they have successfully done in court in the past!

There is almost no content - it's all ads.
Devoted listeners will buy from any sponsor they hear on this station. Two days a week the only content is a guy calling in with film and TV News. This host isn't the yelling and screaming type.

It sounds as if the host maybe secretly agreed with the expert on some level and let him keep talking, even if he was giving lip service to the RW script (I didn't hear it, so maybe I'm wrong, but obviously the expert managed to get everything in there, and that's unusual on a right-wing show).

There was a guy there for 40 years or so and he'd have ladies garden clubs and fraternal groups on to talk about activities in the area. His sidekick was supposed to get the morning slot but they abruptly went all politics hiring the host who's still there.

is one of the stations broadcasting the "In the Garden with Andre Viette" show that I listen to every weekend via their (SoundCloud) podcast since I can't pick up any of the stations broadcasting it here in Philly (I think they actually broadcast out of WSVA in Harrisonburg but that station didn't seem to have any streaming of the show). And what happens is that occasionally some RW nut will call into the show - a friggin' GARDEN show for God's sake - and try to get either Andre or his son Mark (when he's filling in) to comment on the latest climate change nuttery, and they have to artfully try to dodge around the bullshit politics nurtured on those low-power RW stations.

The shows on that station are truly

I used to listen to Mark when he was subbing for NYC's garden guru Ralph Snodsmith on WOR (before and after he passed) and was surprised to find they had their own regular radio show - accessible thanks to the internet (the family was originally from Long Island, NY and moved to VA).
