I think the top level of the GOP is complicit in this whole thing. There is no way the head of the transition team (Pence) didn't know some of what was going on.

I think the whole bunch are technically above the law if they decide to be. I am not a lawyer, I am just ASSUMING that IF the GOP can protect them from justice, they will.

but there will come a time when it's not politically expedient to do so, I think.

And if all this hangs on until 2018 and we take back the House then all bets are off.

I am not sure what I can say here without risking looking like I am talking about last year.

But let me put it this way, if what happened last year happens again, GOP retains both houses and the damage will continue and get worse.

They might have already resolved to get rid of him but are waiting to be nearer to the 2018 mid term elections when their BRAVE DEED will be fresh in the mind of voters.
