The various investigations will continue to dominate the news, special counsel notwithstanding.

A number of House committees. A number of Senate committees. As things gain steam, other "patriots" will want the spotlight to gain points for their own bona fides. Leaks from Mueller's work may not happen but rest assured lots of other leaks will occur. Some will shed glimmers of light on Mueller's team; most will come out of the various and sundry congressional investigations. Then there's the work being done by the NY AG and even the NYC prosecutor's office. Lots of people want to make their bones on the delicious carcass of the Trump administration, its camp followers, and hangers on.

Think of Mueller as Comey's successor in the matter. We got little from Comey. We'll get less from Mueller, but our appetite for hilarity and outrage will not grow hungry.

1. Good, this may keep congress from destroying health care, Medicaid and Medicare

and Social Security. The wall may be dead too along with the huge tax cuts for the wealthy. Maybe congress will be forced to do something positive for the American people. What a shock that would be.
