President Trump asked for his first foreign trip to be shortened from nine to five days, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

The president reportedly had "expressed dread" about the upcoming trip, which will include stops in Saudi Arabia, Israel and the Vatican.

Since assuming office, the president has often visited his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on the weekends but has not yet taken a trip abroad.

The travel comes as the administration is battling several controversies.

If he's the "micro-manager" that reports claim, with all this stuff going on, being out of the country will be very unsettling for him.

Especially if he can just make it Saudi Arabia where there shouldn't be protests.

I think it came up not that long after he started on his official quest to destroy the country.

about everything he does everywhere he goes? All too likely. I still grieve the loss of the "presidential handshake," the one that threatened to dislocate a shoulder. If only he'd taken this trip right away.

I'm also remembering Romney's gaffs when he went over to build his "presidential" resume. The ignorance of people who have little intellectual curiosity and no real interest in the world beyond their own piece of it becomes more and more astonishing the longer they live.

And I hope the "disgraceful" and soon-to-be "fake" Pope gives him hell.

The potential is certainly there for this jerk to do something incredibly stupid and embarrassing. All he has to do is let go and be himself.
