(58,785 posts)I've always had difficulty holding a grudge, but I will never forget that then-Democrat Lieberman spoke at the 2008 Republican convention and endorsed McCain against Obama. His right, but very much not okay with me in the middle of an election. Or that he became a pro-Israel military extremist while swinging radical left on other issues. He's all over the board, smooching up to Betsy De Vos, left on this, right on that. I can be flexible to meet circumstances, but not half as much as him, and we never seem to intersect at any stable point.
I don't trust him. I specifically don't trust him to handle great power the way, well, Obama did. That said,...who's the alternative?
