May 24, 2017 By Taegan Goddard
Jonathan Swan: Republican leaders are coming to the bleak conclusion they will end summer and begin the fall with ZERO significant legislative accomplishments. Privately, they realize its political malpractice to blow at least the the first nine of months of all Republican rule, but also realize theres little they can do to avoid the dismal outcome.
In fact, they see the next four months as MORE troublesome than the first four. Theyre facing terrible budget choices and headlines, the painful effort to re-work the healthcare Rubiks Cube in the House (presuming it makes it out of the Senate), a series of special-election scares (or losses) all with scandal-mania as the backdrop.

OP
Whoda thunk that when you write laws that screw 99% of the people and of which only 45% are too stupid to care, the other 54% might actually get up off their butts and complain, protest and other wise voice their opposition to said screwing and thereby making it more difficult to pass the laws that allow it. Wow!

There's a soloist on-stage with a cheap violin and something lumpy that smells like onion inside his handkerchief.
