(44,895 posts)Or 23 million total uninsured?
Either way, it's a tenth of the population or more.
Do Republican hope those people won't get sick?
Or do they just want them to die?

(11,175 posts)As compared with the earlier version, there would be fewer people without insurance, but among the people who are insured there would be more people with crappy insurance.
The CBO states:
I think the explanation is that this bill would loosen the requirements for the minimum coverage a policy must provide. That means that premiums could be lower, so more people would sign up. This result is "better" right up until the moment that one of those people encounters a medical problem that's not covered.

(9,934 posts)Good bye affordable comprehensive healthcare. Hello tax cuts to the wealthy.
Kind of sad the GOP will be effectively killing off many of their red county voters, but that must have been part of the overall plan.
Now the GOP had better work quickly to remove as many regulations and corporate taxes as possible, destroy public education, continue to stack the courts, and privatize all of our country's natural resources, infrastructure, and other assets before the non-comprehensive shitty policies start to creep into employer based coverage.
