4. Been listening a lot lately to the Beach Boys' "Pet Sounds"

which supposedly was the album that the Beatles tried to top with Sgt. Pepper. Whether or not they succeeded is a matter for debate but, my oh my, what a glorious result... and nobody can dispute that it's the most acclaimed album in history. Coincidentally, I'm 64. LOL

6. Pet Sounds was iconic, and should be given its due as inspirational

So many 70's, 80's and 90's musicians cite PS as the genus of Psychedelia, but SP elevated it from experimental to mainstream in merely a year.
