http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/national/trumps-rock-solid-support-shows-in-pennsylvania-why-cant-we-be-friends/2325204I remember living in this area when our Irish priest went and did a sermon about how we had to tolerate "those people", those people meant us Hispanics. Of course, we fattened Church coffers. I can tell you that this area of the state is made up of the sort of shameful, yes deplorable people that were as bigoted as Kluxers and crude to boot. These were the [people who hated Obama, yet, lo and behold, the head of commerce is the same bastard that killed Bethlehem Steel.

(63,185 posts)Yes, Trump is working to destroy their access to healthcare and the safety net that keeps them from dying, but they still trust him because they believe he's putting America on the right path.
At some point these idiot fuckheads cross the line between "politically ignorant" to "suicidally self-destructive," and they're more than happy to take the rest of us with them.

The cuts that Trump is making wouldn't be necessary if Obama hadn't fucked up the economy so badly, see?
They have thoroughly insulated themselves from reality and are demonstrably unable to recognize it. And the worse things get, the more firmly dedicated they are to voting Red.

(128,704 posts)here in PA, there were quite a lot of first time voters. Drumpf managed to get many whites out of the woodwork to vote for the first time just like Obama did regarding blacks when he ran. Couple that with a larger-than-in-the-past vote for 3rd party (both for Gary Johnson and Jill Stein) and you get a flip. I don't think any hacking happened - at least here in SE PA. Out in Erie might be a different story.

(19,178 posts)No real Republican would say anything like that. Especially not those who call themselves Raygun fans. These are just racist with no education

(128,704 posts)The GOP here (at least many of the voters) in PA were generally more "moderate" (in relative terms - for example, they were not bible-thumping religious fanatics). This is the state that produced a Dick Thornburgh and Tom Ridge. But this latest group that came out this go-around, heard the racist clarion call (it wasn't even dog-whistling after awhile but megaphone-spouted) of Drumpf, and the teabagger mentality just exploded. He called to all those hidden militias and KKK that have always been here but didn't participate in the electoral process.
And as a note per the below, PA is #1 !!1111!!!!!
