Could the lights at the WH be a type of light-based sterilization?

I remember reading a WaPo story about how 45 thinks handshakes are barbaric and spreads germs.

Shaking hands is ‘barbaric’: Donald Trump, the germaphobe in chief

President-elect Donald Trump, during a news conference in New York City on Wednesday, vehemently denied the salacious and unverified allegations put forth in a 35-page dossier published by BuzzFeed News. Behind a podium in the lobby of Trump Tower, the president-elect professed an awareness that the hotel rooms he visits overseas may be bugged with tiny cameras. And responding to a personal section of the unsubstantiated report, Trump added, “I’m also very much of a germaphobe, by the way, believe me.” (The audience, according to the transcript of the news conference, laughed.)

Interesting, so I googled 'light killing germs' and found these:

USING HINS-LIGHT TO CREATE A BACTERIA-KILLING GLOW

Sterilization is hands down one of the most important technologies ever developed by mankind, but though we've known how to do battle with bacterial pathogens in places like the operating room for decades, superbugs like MRSA and Clostridium difficile persist in hospital environments, often causing serious medical complications. But now, researchers at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow have devised a novel means to drive dangerous pathogens to cell suicide by simply bathing them in a pleasant violet light.

Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (UV-C) light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions.[1] UVGI is used in a variety of applications, such as food, air, and water purification.

UV-C light is weak at the Earth's surface as the ozone layer of the atmosphere blocks it.[2] UVGI devices can produce strong enough UV-C light in circulating air or water systems to make them inhospitable environments to microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, molds and other pathogens. UVGI can be coupled with a filtration system to sanitize air and water.

This could explain why the lights were recorded flashing only in the windows of the dinning room and kitchen of the residential area of the White House. Regardless, we can now add germaphobe to the growing list of what is wrong with this POTUS. Peeing in jars can't be too far behind. Or having Russian prostitutes pee in jars.

Would have been a great idea a few decades back, though.

Maybe Ivanka was trying to get Trump to exercise by making him chase the red dot from a laser pointer.

If you see Trump washing his hands twice in row, you got him cold!

We must learn to use competitive bacteria, and other methods such as sanitizing, heat or acidification and other means to keep from allowing the really critical pathogens to become more prevalent, and therefore, more dangerous in the absence of competitive bacteria.

Baryon sweep. That will take care of them permanently.

I am curious how many will get this.
