(9,426 posts)declared him to be "the fittest man EVER to enter the WH" I wonder if that doctor is now a patient at Bellevue? Donnie HAS added at least one more chin, and his jacket is snug around the waist, the shoulders leave lots of room to expand. For a supposedly wealthy "man" he has rotten tailored suits. Are they made by the people who make his ties and shirts?

(23,947 posts)...yesterday, along with my comment that it irks the hell out of me that President Obama's White House portrait is flanked on the left by Bush's and will be flanked on the right by he-who-shall-not-be-named.
Unless, maybe, if a president is convicted and jailed, he forfeits the right to have a portrait put up? Please, please, please!!!

(81,110 posts)I remember watching that. It was utterly humiliating. Made me wonder if he was drunk at the time, or just brain-rotted from so much drinking in the past.
Almost felt sorry for the guy, which, for me is saying a lot. Meanwhile, his unfortunately minder (I mean, wife, Laura) and First Lady Michelle Obama were trying very hard to contain him while being tremendously discreet and as subtle as possible. After all, this was front-row public televised stuff.
Just freakin' embarrassing.

(209 posts)I can only imagine what is going on in Republican strategy sessions right now. They know Trump's a bull in a china shop, and the longer they stay tethered to him, the more damaged they will be by association.
Any smart Republicans want him gone now, before 2018 rolls around.

(11,248 posts)Rather than suggesting he eat even more and become more obese, why not show some compassion and suggest ways he can take off the weight.
He can control his weight by getting hooked on crystal meth.
He should try that.

(60,010 posts)is attention getting behaviors. He cannot bear to not be the center of attention.
Do you remember when he and Hillary had a debate and as she was taking her turn talking he wandered all over the stage, even coming up behind her, the played with the back of a chair, paced some more.
He is savvy enough about tv to know that movement is what catches the eye, and so he does it.

(23,927 posts)something like a game of checkers implies agreement on ground rules and intent to cooperate with one's opponent in adhering to established guidelines of fairness and decency.
for several decades, it seemed to me like Republicans generally sat down at the board with their hockey sticks ready to smash the board and forcefully pound on their opposition when things didn't go their way.
now it's more like they've unleashed an pre-potty-training toddler in a perpetual tantrum to defecate on the board and scream the whole time.
frankly, compared to what we have now, i'd welcome a nice, quiet game of checkers.
