Lawrence is killing it tonight!

He's explaining how awful AND incompetent Michael Cohen (Trump's attorney) is.

And he made a great point - the Senate investigative committee unanimously voted to give its co-chairs (Sen. Mark Warner, and a Repub--Sen. Burr) the right to issue subpoenas without checking with the other members first. He said that was highly unusual. Wow--that gives Warner a lot of power, and I hope he wields it skillfully.

This is the kind of information that Lawrence, with his legislative experience, is uniquely qualified to give his audience and WHY HE MUST STAY on the air--if not on MSNBC, on a key competitor.

That posted a picture of his teen-aged daughter in lingerie? Incompetent lawyer is probably his best event.

"My father, who has always been supportive of my endeavors, was merely expressing his pride,” Samantha said. “There is nothing inappropriate in the picture and those who seek to make it something it is not are merely Trump haters who are using this as an opportunity to stir up drama.

“'I find it hypocritical that those who consider themselves liberal would criticize a woman embracing her body,” she continued. “There is nothing sexualized about the photograph ... it is tasteful and it is demure.”

Oh, and she's majoring in Political Science. Another hate mongering spawn of evil.

with respect to the investigations. Probably actually wielding more cred with his rethug counterparts because he's less liberal than most of us. He ain't perfect, but this is Virginia, so we'll take him.

Is he going off the air or did he get a new contract or contract extension?

8. They do, but IMHO, it will be far easier for Warner to persuade him than to persuade

a roomful of committee members, many of whom may feel more politically vulnerable than does Burr.

Lawrence said he does not have a law degree. But he's been around the block a few times, so he knows what he is talking about.

19. He may not have a law degree, but he understands the law better than many pundit lawyers.

He was the first, and only for the most part, to point out the absurdity, and illegality, of 501c3 social service corps being involved in ANY politics. He correctly pointed out how an Eisenhower-era IRS regulation that allows a rather substantial amount of political activity is based on an utterly incorrect reading of IRS Code, which explicitly prohibits any political activity by a 501c3. He brought all this up during the Lois Lerner broohaha, pointing out the media was burying the lede, that the real scandal was how the IRS was letting 501c3 corps get away with political activity.
