On climate change agreement, Kerry suggests that Trump think of everyone's grandchild

It was in response to a tweet that a reporter sent asking if Trump would hold one of his grandchildren on his lap while signing something leaving the treaty.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday urged President Trump to think about the next generation as he weighs his final decision on whether to keep the U.S. in the Paris climate accord.

“Good question. But more importantly: billions of grandkids will have to live with this decision, however it lands. Think of them, please,” Kerry wrote on Twitter in response to a user who had asked if Trump’s granddaughter would be on his lap if he signs an executive order pulling out of the agreement.

Kerry held Alexandra's then 2 year old when he came up to sign for the US at the UN in 2015.

Kerry has made the serious case hundreds of times - and he did so just last week at Harvard's Kennedy center graduation in a very inspiring speech - easily one of the best this year. https://www.democraticunderground.com/11095375

As mentioned it was in response to a tweet referencing his bringing his pretty little granddaughter. (Maybe he should have tagged Ivanka and Jared)

This is an issue that more than about anything else is about the future. It is that generation, not Trump's generation that will have to live with what is done.

in climate change -- which is well over 50% of the country. http://pollingreport.com/enviro.htm Now, it is true that the majority of Republicans don't agree, but some of them do.

Kerry has for decades made the case for dealing with climate change - as he did at the Harvard Kennedy school of government.
