What is your spark of hope?

Wondering how other people here are dealing with the escalating horrors and outrage. When I find myself literally screaming at reports of the latest evil, I really need to find a shred of optimism that this might be righted at some point. I do believe some or all of the investigations and inquiries will lead to justice, but it sure is moving slowly. I held on to hope that there were republicans in Congress who love this country more than the perverse party agenda, but haven't seen evidence of that yet.
So what do you see as our best hope? Thanks

resist and be prepared for the mess we will have to clean up.

I strongly believe that Trump can do in 4 what took Bush 8 years to do.

that need pulling to topple Trump and, subsequently, Putin's agenda, as well. The CIA/FBI's loyalty to the nation needs to kick in BIGTIME.

And I wouldn't doubt that Bill Clinton and Obama are joining the cooperation, as well. Trump's Reborn Hitler agenda has to be stopped.

This is really the fundamental problem that has brought us to this place, and what happens when enough people without proper knowledge are swayed by bluster and rhetoric. As long as the repubs continue to dumb down the masses, democracy will not work.

It still horrifies me to know that my children and grandchildren (and their children too) will continue to suffer the consequences LONG after I've died and long after ALL of today's politicians have died.

I have my father's dog tags and his navy uniform from WW2.
That was a dark and scary time.
I talked to him before he died a lot about that time period.
My father was suppose to be part of the second navy.
The first navy was suppose to have been blown out of the water.
My father had to learn hand to hand combat.
They did not know what was going to happen.
Before my father went into the navy he worked in a shipyard making liberty ships.
Nazi subs were in the Gulf of Mexico sinking ships leaving the ports.
He could not go into the Navy until 1943 because he was defense worker.
He did his time on a PBY flying boat looking for Nazi subs in the Gulf of Mexico and the Altantic.
He said people were scared but they had a job to do.
He met my mother at the ship yard.
I keep one of the dog tags on my keychain to remind me of that time.
We have to win just like they did.
I know we will.
We have friends in other countries that will help.
I am looking forward to seeing that gang in the white house going down.

hard to get it going, and even harder to stop once the wheels are in motion. These investigations will keep rolling, and truth will out. Eventually.

and his firing galvanized them to remove this cancer on society. We can't see it yet, but they are on it.

Also, Comey has copious notes. Thursday he will likely testify in open session that Trump obstructed justice. Followed by a closed session.

I have a beach house. My daughter scores in the 99th percentile in the nwea. I am healthy except for being fat and kinda an alcoholic. I played golf 4 days out of 7.

Who knows what my fifties will bring but personally I am good.

Stop watching TV. Not good for you.

I know, I know. It's just that I don't have anything. I'm devastated and I'm not anywhere near getting over what happened in Nov.

Actually, with all that happens every day, I'd say I feel worse...

from Pers in CA safer than most. I can only let myself watch news in small doses including blogs, humor, etc.

My mindfulness and meditation groups fill me with hope that if we stay to the present instead of worrying about future in each day is a morsel of hope, not in watching the news but in the beauty of a sunset, the ocean or forest trees, in watching my puppies face.
