That will have to suffice for the House for 2018, and it will have the further effect of energizing the right wing to unseat vulnerable Democratic Senators at the same time.
I don't see the ACA going away entirely, but you will have the taxes still coming out. So, while the rich are paying for the poor on Medicaid, the middle class will see their premiums rise as insurers leave the market. And remember, next year, the "Cadillac tax" kicks in, so if you think that you're safe because you have a good health insurance plan at work (union or not) it's about to get worse, as insurers pass along the costs of that tax. Most employers will find ways to shift it on to their workers, at least where there's not a union contract involved.
I fully expect Trump to grease the skids under any further collapse of this middle-income market, he seems to think that he will never be blamed for anything.
