the candidate, who railed about "rigged elections" for a year, lost the popular vote by millions, but was elected president by the electoral college, now is again railing about rigged elections. Yeah, the Russians hacked the 2016 election, and that's pretty much settled, but the man who is now the "so called" president demands all voter data from all 50 states. This unstable person now wants our names, addresses, social security numbers, voting history and party affiliation in his possession. Why? How do we know this won't be shared with Russian intelligence, who seem to be the only people, besides the Saudis, that this man trusts and has his total loyalty.

(12,962 posts)So far it seems most states are noting that the federal government has no authority to demand this data and are more or less telling Trump's commission to fuck off. Note also that they better not have your actual voting record or something is seriously wrong But party affiliation is key to voter suppression.

This country is in far more dangerous territory than many citizens get as some say oh, he just has a different style. FFS, Americans, many, are so F'en clueless.
