Taking our Coexist sticker off of our car today...

We are in the middle of NRA country (SW PA) and we are afraid to be targeted. A sad day for us because we have always had some type of peace symbol on our car but this ad they put out is too frightening....we will continue to resist as we do but can no longer advertise our feelings.

If we cannot live in a better world or advocate for such a world, then shoot me now and prosecute the bastards to the fullest and relish the chance to execute them when the time comes...

We were advised not to put Hillary signs in our yard but everyone knows we are liberals. Before the election someone came and literally surrounded our yard with trump signs. These hillbillies still have their stickers on their trucks and their signs in their yards. One out of 7 people (it may be more now) have gun permits. We really have to be cautious.

If the state government is in on it too, then the US district attorney and the national press. That kind of vigilante, frontier justice is bullshit and should be exposed...

And if I lived where you do I wouldn't put a bumper sticker on my car either. In fact, I live in a blue area surrounded by red and I still don't put a political bumper sticker on my car. Partly because I don't think anyone's mind has ever been changed by a bumper sticker, but mostly because it only takes one nut with a gun, and there are plenty of nuts with guns out there.

Please realize-those who say be brave-that we are dealing with a extra strength brand of cray cray here.

I drive a VW van-that is probably enough. But I also sported a handmade sign "Beware the Zombies of Reagan". I was also brave and probably still am but whatever.

I had the brave wiped clean after a local sheriff targeted me because I had a dog off leash. It was the scariest encounter with a policeman I ever had . I honestly felt one wrong twitch or answer & he would have shot me. I was alone in a park metal detecting so he knew the bus was mine. Old man digging holes legally-with a permit even.

So he only had one reason to brutalize me for 1/2 hour hand on his holster. My sign...

This was years ago...

It has gotten much worse.

... I have a Twitter account where I bash Trump constantly and his fans NEVER say boo to me. Want to know why? My cover photo is of me firing my rifle at the range. The cowards don't dare pick on someone who can defend themselves.

And so I recommend leaving the Co-exist sticker on and adding a sticker along the lines of "This vehicle protected by Colt .45." If the chickenshits think you can (and will) fight back I'd lay odds they won't so much as dare look at you cross-eyed.

for the most part so we could have a society with all its differences that could develop and coexist in civility; one that could work out its problems without decending to the worst impulses in human nature. Civility died with the rise of Trumpism. Our innate worst impulses are on the rise again.
In the oldest game of human survival the one with the biggest stick and largest number of participanrs with big sticks wins. The intelligent and thinking/empathetic only conquer the big sticks with overwhelming numbers incurring many losses or by taking up their own big sticks.
We can't just give up and shy away to defeat an uncivilized horde; they will win. We had better get tough, unify into large numbers and be powerfully and intelligently vocal and be prepared for the possibility of defending freedom with our own "big sticks" as a last resort. Otherwise, as history teaches, we will lose.
