President Trump on Saturday blasted the more than two dozen states refusing to comply with his election integrity commission's request for voter data, asking "What are they trying to hide?"

More than half of the states, representing bipartisan resistance, have so far refused to provide all or some of the voter information requested by Trump's Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.
Trump's tweet Saturday echoed a similar comment the previous day from Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, the vice chair of the commission, who responded to states refusing to comply.
Frankly, if a state like Kentucky or California wont provide available information, one has to ask the question, Why not? Kobach said during an interview on NPRs All Things Considered."

(15,805 posts)and assumes that he has the power to compel the states to hand over the private information of every citizen in the country. He doesn't, that's why he's trying a buff with an insipid executive order. The letter is flawed, and should make everyone angry at the mass invasion of privacy by the Putin loving, lying, Pussy Grabber in Chief.
Read this lie:
"...the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity... is charged with studying the registration and voting processes used in federal elections and submitting a report to the President..."
Yeah, but looky here ya dolt, it's the states that decide how to run elections, not the fucking president, and especially not the lying, blubber butt who's sitting in the Oval office now, and his handpicked flock of flying monkeys on this sham of a conspiracy theory Commission.
If that didn't set off alarms, the letter further warns that:
"Please be aware that any documents that are submitted to the full Commission will also be
made available to the public."
Um, in a word, hell NO! I don't want my private information sold off to rightwing PACS, lobbyists, advertisers or Russian hackers. Its none of Trump's business who I vote for, and he isn't legally entitled to know my name, address, date of birth, political party, my voting history from the past decade, any felony convictions, or military status.

(24,128 posts)they have zero excuse now.
Congress is at least taking some measures to rein this guy in regarding his war capabilities, and McCain has tried to install military people (Mattis in particular) who can keep things in check on that front.
Graham obviously knows Trump is crazy.
Who else knows and is doing something about it?
