Trump's words after the (s)election was over. He called voting, and I'm paraphrasing here....." American's most cherished tradition".....blah, blah, blah.....some other bullshit. I nearly had a stroke after he said that. If it's so fucking "cherished", why doesn't he investigate the Russian's interference with it? Because it benefited HIM, that's why. And it will benefit the GOP in the mid-terms, and it would benefit HIM again in 2020 (please, he CAN'T last that long!).

So, to sum it up, voting is a "cherished tradition" as long as voter interference and election fraud benefit HIM! If it benefited his opponent, or even resulted in a level playing field, voter fraud and election interference would be another of his "top priorities" and the twitter world would be aflame from Donnie Darko's tempestuous fingers.

I remember a time when we had SANE Presidents in this country. It seems like such a long time ago. Every day with Trump in power seems like a year.

Hiring a lead corruption prosecutor is a sign there's solid evidence for a Russian money laundering/fraud type crime.

I would think Mueller would prefer nailing down clearcut, less attention raising criminal charges like illegal financial transactions that are more straightforward to prove if he can first.

Trump was desperate for money and is a known fraud - Trump Univ. was an easy case to win. It wasn't even accredited.

Sun Jul 2, 2017, 12:40 PM
Jul 2017

it's too damned late.

Why? Because all the other seven lawyer investigators who're in place aren't going anywhere,
AND they've got their hands on the entire FBI -- the entire FBI -- all of whom are sworn to uphold the Constitution just as Congress is sworn to -- for evidence-intelligence-classified information gathering,

AND any new prosecutor cannot suppress any evidence brought forward;

AND SCOTUS cannot suppress evidence or misrule against any case supported by a preponderance of it, either.

Finally, if the military itself sees this government -- through politically expedient decisions -- do all the things you think they might do, which it will judge as endangerment to the security of the country through dysfunctional and unethical, political firings and hirings -- obstruction of justice, plain and simple -- it will step in. Don't think it can't happen just because it hasn't happened yet.

Trump calls for disruption all the time. Even his own followers are using him as the new standard of what not to do.

Embodiment of evil or not, it's good for Americans to know how those embodiments work, in both our domestic leadership and in foreign leadership -- no more cartoon boogey man caricatures can scare them when they see them up front and start to get woke about the dangers 45 types pose to their well being.

Just because he's investigating the Russia connection and all it's ramifications after every single intelligence agency has said it happened does not make him biased.

Obviously there has to be something to investigate. He has a history of being quite professional. He isn't known for making things up because he's already made up his mind.

As for me. I believe that dozens of intelligence agency's (without a single one forthcoming with any news to the contrary, by the way) may warrant an investigation. I don't believe the CIA is faultless, nor is the FBI, but there is no historical evidence that they collude on anything.

Mon Jul 3, 2017, 08:15 PM

As have the Obamas. The situation is very different with Trump. Clinton was guilty of filandering yet that was used as an excuse to continue to "investigate" non-stop. Hilary has never been found guilty of anything at all other than using a private server. Yet she continues to be investigated year after year after year.

There is no similarity in their situation compared to trump's situation. He deserves to be investigated as much as he insisted on investigating the birther accusations against President Obama. It's not very useful to think both sides are equal. There is no equivalency. No one, not even Trump could have possibly believed that Obama was not a US citizen. Yet he went ahead and did it anyway. I don't see how anyone can defend him.

I believe you thinking of the old political "handlers" ("commissars&quot the Politburo used to assign to every military unit and/or officer to ensure ideological compliance with the state (alongside the KGB agents assigned to track and investigate every important person's movements). It's a common tactic used in authoritarian regimes, as we see in North Korea today.

Trump needs to believe he is the source of all things. Handlers would negate that narrative in his mind and would therefore seem likely he wouldn't allow.

And, as we're about to see as our president meets his boss for the first time, Vladdie does know how to "run" Trump all by himself!

All I see are references to people joining the investigation. We need some action before 45 does too much more damage.

When they feel that they can bring charges...whether they are against Trump or members of his "administration"...that's when we'll hear.

And if, God forbid, we hear that no charges will be brought, that would be another time when we'd hear from Mueller.
