Reporters following the dictates of White House spokespeople are surrendering part of their privilege to report the news to the American people. They should surrender nothing. The White House does not get to make the rules for their own game.

(73,528 posts)fan of the mainstream media. But I have to give credit to the NY Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, and CNN, for stepping up to the plate. Some of the reporting is outstanding.

I've encountered a couple guys from the NY Times. And I am very impressed with the Washington Post.
