6. Prehistoric cavemen had to behave a lot better

Studies of modern hunter gatherer societies show what happens when a narcissistic bully turns up. The older men and the older women gang up on him and either he modifies his behavior--a lot--or he's told to leave the group, usually a death sentence.

Our caveman ancestors were a lot smarter than we've given them credit for. For instance, no punk ass kid was ever born rich or connected enough to escape responsibility for his actions toward the rest of the group. We needed civilization for that.
