MSM needs to stop playing into 45's hand.

The MSM should very briefly point out 45's latest insanity and then pivot into total focus on what 45 is not doing.

The MSM needs to compare 45's achievement's to those of previous Presidents. on Day XXX of Obama's Presidency he had already done a, b, c and so on. On Day XXX of Bush Jr's Presidency Bush Jr had done a, b, c and so on. On Day XXX of President Clinton's Presidency, Clinton had done a, b, c and so on.

On Day XXX what legislative achievements has 45 achieved? NOTHING. The MSM needs to factually report on all the things that are not getting done. What is he doing for Veterans? Nothing. What is he doing to bring back jobs and manufacturing to the US? Nothing. In fact Trump products continue to be manuafactured overseas. How can Americans really belive that Trump can MAGA when even his family buy or manufacture Trump products overseas? Jobs that Trump has saved? Carrier jobs are going away. MSM needs to look for other jobs that are going away. Pundits need to be really selling the idea that Americans should be concerned about what 45 will give away to Putin. Will it be political payback of a bill owed for Putin's assistance for making 45 President or payment to 45's true boss. The MSM needs to make it so toxic for 45 to hand anything over to 45 that Congress will never be able to support anything 45 gives to Putin. MSM should put 45's negotiation skills on the line and question just how good a negotiater he is before he meets with Putin.

MSM needs to pivot from his juvenile behavior because people who are not his base recognize Trump for the child he is. The need to focus on his total abject failure as a President.

If the MSM focuses on 45's total failure and refused to provide 24/7 coverage of the insanity then 45, his minions and base can't complain that the MSM is "picking on him." An indendpent group could create websites to collect and display all the insanity to document the craziness but MSM needs to get past that focus on the inability of 45 and the Republican Congress to get anything done. It would also give MSM the time to put the spotlight on what Congress is trying to do behind closed doors because 45 is a constant distraction.

Crazy needs to be replaced by failure.

3. Trump uses the media to distract attention from other things

Lots of stuff is going on. Health care bill. Russia probe. etc

But we are focused instead on Joe and Mika and CNN wrestling.

Is Trump this crazy? Probably. Or is he pulling out stuff he knows will distract? Or maybe both.

In any case, the media needs to put attention on the rest of the picture, instead of devoting the entire program to Trump nonsense.

Maybe show 5 minutes of Trump rants followed by a followup on a Trump campaign promise and how well it is being followed?

It may be emotionally gratifying to spend the entire program on trump nonsense....but the media tried that during the election....and who is in the White House?
