Multiple Missiles to Be Launched in St. Paul!

As is typical at this time of the year, thousands of rockets of various sizes will be launched from driveways and backyards all over the City of St. Paul, MN. Some, by the sound of them, may well be ICBMs capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

My dogs, Dude and Sam, are not amused by these missile launches, and are planning to retaliate by crapping in the yards of neighbors who engage in such warlike exercises. I will not pick up their poops in such cases. So, if your driveway is a missile launching pad, I give you fair warning.

and many of them will head out of cities this time of year. It happens in every city. Here in DC people launch stuff from the street and their rooftops at all hours of the night.

Because Murica and Freedom!

Such fireworks are illegal in St. Paul, MN. There is no enforcement of that law, however. In my neighborhood, they've been going off since Friday night. Tonight will be the Grand Finale.

I hate them too, as well as our dogs. One of our Labradors has been clinging to my calf since Thursday. I think he's held his urine since then also.

Good luck to them.

I enjoy fireworks, but i know it's near torture to some and I do not ignite them in my neighborhood.

before midnight. The loud noises scare her and disturb her sleep.Around here it sounds like a war zone until way after midnight. On the 2nd of July they were at it almost to midnight. That is 4 nights of celebration that keeps her upset. And why do they all have to go boom like a bomb??

artillery shells and bombs. "The rockets' red glare; the bombs bursting in air" and all that. Why we use such things to celebrate, I don't know really. It begs the question - What is it that we're celebrating? War?

However, it is the frightening noise and disruption that bothers most people, along with their pets. All for the sake of blowing off some steam by making loud explosions and creating a fire hazard.

I don't like fireworks all that much. I come from a family of firefighters, and am the owner of two dogs who are very frightened by fireworks.

However, I realize that my objections will not be honored by people foregoing their celebrations. There it is, I guess.

yesterday. The blasts lasted on and off for two hours last night. Luckily the wind blew all the crap onto his Neighbors. All of the Palms are dry this time of year, and it only takes one hot spark to make things interesting.

be so loud that you think they are the real thing? My eardrums hurt if I open a window and hear one or two. Around here they are legally allowed to fire off the things on July 4 until midnight but they started back in JUNE! And they go past midnight. One year it was until 2 or 2:30 am!!!
