Redditor HanAssholeSolo apologizes, outclasses [Redacted]

Trump Has Literally Been Outclassed by HanA**HoleSolo — Troll Apologizes for CNN Video, Racism

the Reddit user who created the video it was based upon, who goes by the user name HanAssholeSolo, has done what Trump has been unable to manage. He has posted a complete and fulsome apology.

Ironically, the moderators on the board he uses, /r/The_Donald, keep removing his apology, so here is the text, based on images posted on Twitter:

To my fellow redditors in this community, the rest of reddit and the media/public, I apologize. (self.The_Donald) submitted an hour ago by HanAssholeSolo

My fellow redditors, First of all, I would like to apologize to the members of the reddit community for getting this site and this sub embroiled in a controversy that should never have happened. I would also like to apologize for the posts made that were racist, bigoted, and anti-semitic. I am in no way this kind of person, I love and accept people of all walks of life and have done so for my entire life. I am not the person that the media portrays me to be in real life, I was trolling and posting things to get a reaction from the subs on reddit and never meant any of the hateful things I said in those posts. I would never support any kind of violence or actions against others simply for what they believe in, their religion, or the lifestyle they choose to have. Nor would I carry out any violence against anyone based upon that or support anyone who did. As time went on it became an addiction as to how far it could go with the posts that were made. This has been an extreme wake up call to always consider how others may think or feel about what is being said before clicking the submit button anywhere online that an opinion is allowed. Free speech is a right we all have, but it shouldn't be used in the manner that it was in the posts that were put on this site. Just because you are behind a keyboard doesn't mean you can't hurt someone with your words or cause a situation such as this one where a simple meme is misconstrued as calling for violence.

Bright

But I choose to read it (the whole post, which is worth reading) as sincere.

I think people do stupid stuff, and regret it.

I think people do act childishly, and grow up.

I think people do impulsive stuff, and experience unintended consequences. And even learn from that.

So, yeah, it may just be that his lawyer said "Dude, protect yourself."

But it also might be that he looked in the mirror and didn't like what he saw. And wanted to see something better.

People can do that.

hopefully,
Bright

threatened to expose him. People can lose jobs, business, even get physical threats when others discover their true identities.

Most large companies have something in their conduct and discipline policy about such activity. There's lots of folks who get fired for posting racist content.

Every time someone like this is caught saying vile things and there might actual consequences for them , a mea culpa is issued. I doubt anyone who posted such vile debased material and so prolifically will actually stop.

He's probably going to find out his hate cost him plenty and if he's at all smart will probably decide it really wasn't worth it.
