Pope "infuriated" after cops raid drug-fueled "gay orgy" at Vatican priests apartment

According to the New Zealand Herald, Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano is reporting that Vatican police raided an apartment in June at the former palace of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to break up an orgy taking place.

“The occupant of the apartment is alleged to be a priest who serves as a secretary to Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, the head of the Pontifical Council for Legislative texts and a personal adviser to the Pope,” the New Zealand Herald explains.

Police were alerted to the alleged orgy after neighbors became suspicious about the behavior of people going into and out of the apartment. When police entered the apartment, they discovered illegal drugs, as well as men engaging in sexual activity.

Il Fatto Quotidiano reports that Pope Francis was “infuriated” by news of the alleged orgy, and the publication suggested that the scandal may force Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio into retirement.

In the privacy of their own home!

I say we call the police! No, call the pope! Call both! The important thing is that we control these men's lives right down to the forms of consensual pleasure they're allowed to feel!

it was the drugs. Apparently, the sex isn't illegal under Vatican law. Now as to keeping his job, well that is another matter all together.

I just watched The Keepers and I am enraged about how many girls were sexually tortured at a Catholic school and how the murder of a Nun is still being covered up by the church. Sickening and pathetic that nothing has changed.

A Cardinal in the Church- one of the few that elect a new Pope and could be appointed a Pope and you see nothing wrong in his acts? If he wants to acts in a way to anathema to the Church he represents he should have resigned long ago and gone his separate way.

If he doesn't agree with the church's teachings, he should quit.

But that doesn't excuse a police raid over sex and what turned out to be drugs. It's ridiculous on all levels.

some of them eventually commit suicide from the rejection. And here it's all going on in the vatican.

I believe only one thing: Religion only harms people. Even if it's your aunt Catherine who lives her whole life feeling like a sinner, religion hurts people.
