Clausewitz, IIRC.

Probably not best to design military campaigns based on homefront politics, especially "populist" politics though.

The Kurds are the closest we'll find to 'good guys' in the middle east, and Trump's admin has expanded arming them. I doubt the orange idiot had anything to do with it, probably all Mattis.
