GOP-Senate: It's okay to cut Medicaid now because "somebody" will undo those cuts later.

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/07/03/medicaid-overhaul-fiscal-cliff-240187

The Senate health care bill, if it becomes law, would set in motion a massive rollback of Medicaid funding beginning in three years. But even some Republican supporters acknowledge the full cuts might never happen.

Instead, they say it could become another Washington fiscal cliff, where lawmakers go to the brink of radical spending changes only to pull back — or have their successors pull back — just before the point of inflicting real pain in the face of intense pressure.

“We all expect that no matter what we do, somebody is going to come back and say they want it plussed up,” said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), who believes the cuts are essential.

So... The GOP has moved on from symbolical votes to repeal Obamacare to symbolical votes to cut Medicaid.

I can't shake the feeling that the GOP has forgotten what it's like to have governmental responsibility.

To: Repubs from Dems:: go ahead make cuts to Medicaid/Medicare, repeal Obamacare and replace it with your mean hatehealthcare, do it! And, when you do, you'll own it. The constant threat of repeal, for what? 9 yrs? Is downright abusive using Americans as pawns holding their lives, well being, over their heads. They're (Repubs/trumpf) worse than deplorable, they're just plain.narcissistic, self-serving evil bastards -- Machiavellian, que no? Right? .

Basta, enough already! Dems, call their bluff! The fact is, is that they don't have the ganas ( balls ) to do anything OTHER than obstruct, create chaos, and think of policies to stick it to all Americans. How many times did they vote on repeal? Well Dems, say "here's your chance, knock yourself out ....just do it!" " Now, they [the repubs] want Dems to come up with a plan ..okay dems, what are you waiting for, here it is: DemsPLAN.. Medicare/Medicaid for all Americans..full stop. Hell, save paper, tweet it! . Estodo, that's it, it's done! AND, Dems please do not have one more meeting/debate about it; get on MSM non-stop, our mantra:, universal healthcare for all, it's "all or nothing." that's it walk away...it's their move!

even when they control all the branches of government. But this is because they are actually a "permanent minority" with bankrupt ideas and draconian intentions, that only gained control by cheating and subterfuge.

Voters will have a strong incentive to get to the polls to get Dems to restore the cuts.
