All I know about him is that he has vetoed abortion restrictions.

"Montana will not allow any terrorist organization to intimidate us into abandoning our values. The safety of Montanans is my top priority. No Syrian refugees have been settled in the state and we have had no formal requests to do so. Montana has a process in place for considering refugee settlement requests; we are reviewing those protocols to ensure that if a request comes, we take all appropriate steps to ensure that the safety of Montanans will not be jeopardized by their placement."

Also Pro-Gun and rated B- by NORML.

As I said, too Centrist for Alt-Left. But did work with Republicans to expand Medic-Aid in Montana.

Your quote of his is interesting.....it sounds like he is talking tough but it doesn't actually say anything crazy.

I'm not a fan of the term alt-left, but alt-left supported Bernie who was either "balanced" or " a crazy gun nut" depending on who you talked to.

of Steve Bullock for POTUS. I can see how he does look good from a distance. He's been a decent governor from my perspective...good looking, liberal and well thought of...without scandal. I will say that he might lack some polished political savvy...but that is a skill that could be learned. Montana has a history of electing well rounded Dem governors, thank damned goodness or I'd lose my mind. Remember Governor Brian Schweitzer? He was well liked from both sides of the aisle. For a while it seemed he'd be in the hunt for POTUS, but he seems to have left the radar.

I'm from Texas and we have people in state government here that are a wonder to behold.

I'll keep an eye on Bullock.

Haven't heard any scuttle at local dem meetings. I always thought the DNC would get behind Brian Schweitzer but that seems to have fizzled out. I don't know if anyone who doesn't like Bullock...they may disagree with his policy but he's well liked on both sides of the aisle. He is rock solid on a woman's right to choose.

He'd have a good chance of picking up a Senate seat for us. I don't think he has much of a chance at the presidency.
