All USA intelligence agencies agree that russia has been, and still is, attacking America through digital portals, compromising not just election results, but also nuclear facilities.

For the republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief, Comrade Casino, to abandon all honor, to go all kissy face, and to lie and say that it is an "honor" to meet the russian dictator, is a total, shameful betrayal of the United States of America.

The republicans, and their "family values" role model, owe America a huge apology.

Vlad actually shared a viciously distasteful joke with Rump about his troublesome American journalists on camera. Everyone in the room, including the American press Vlad gestured at, knew they'd be dead or in prison, or imprisoned then dead, if they were Russian journalists. Chuckle, chuckle.

And then there was his behavior with Poland's repressive far-right Duda. It's one thing to reaffirm our and NATO's commitment to protecting Poland from Russia, a whole other thing to call meeting Duda "an honor."

“IT’S AN honor to be with you,” President Trump told Russian President Vladi­mir Putin Friday as they met for the first time. No. Wrong. It is not an honor to sit down with the leader of a regime that invades peaceable neighbors, covertly interferes in the elections of democratic nations, and orchestrates and tolerates the assassination of domestic political opponents and journalists.

That doesn’t mean it’s wrong to meet. As Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said after the leaders ended two-plus hours of conversation, it is crucial for the world’s two major nuclear powers to engage with each other, as they did during the Cold War. “How do we live with one another? How do we work with one another?” Mr. Tillerson said. He said the two leaders spent much time on two specific areas where, at least in theory, cooperation could be mutually beneficial: the war in Syria and non-interference in future U.S. elections.

Whether cooperation with the Putin regime is possible in practice, in those or other areas, is less clear.

On the elections, Mr. Trump entered the talks in a weak position of his own devising. In a news conference Thursday, the U.S. president once again cast doubt on the fact of Russian meddling in the 2016 election, which U.S. intelligence agencies, and other politicians of both parties who have seen the evidence, do not doubt. He muddied the waters further on Friday morning with a bizarre tweet about John Podesta, campaign chairman for Mr. Trump’s 2016 Democratic presidential rival, Hillary Clinton. According to Mr. Tillerson, the U.S. president then raised with Mr. Putin “the concerns of the American people” about Russia’s interference; let’s hope he made clear that they are his concerns as well, and that there will be consequences for that meddling.

Ex-CIA Director Brennan Rips Trump For Saying It Was an 'Honor' to Meet Putin: 'Dishonorable'

...Appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press, ex-CIA Director John Brennan tore into the president for seemingly taking the word of Putin over that of the American intelligence community when it comes to who was responsible for meddling in last year’s election.

“It certainly indicates that he doesn’t take the word of the intelligence community,” he told host Chuck Todd. “That’s what he’s been doing repeatedly in terms of his public comments.”

Brennan proceeded to bring up Trump’s remarks made in Poland last week when he appeared to throw the intelligence community under the bus while hedging on whether Russia was solely responsible for election interference. He further noted that he seriously doubts that Putin heard what he needed to hear from Trump regarding his “assault” on our democracy.

Brennan also brought up how Trump said prior to sitting down with Putin it was an honor to meet with him and questioned how the president could utter this publicly. “An honor to meet the individual who carried out the assault against our election? To me, it was a dishonorable thing to say,” he exclaimed.
