General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsDid anyone see the epic interview by Chris Cuomo with KellyAnne Conway on CNN?
It went on for over 30 minutes.
She was on top of her game, distracting, diverting, blaming the media, etc.
She talked about all the issues that the media refused to cover, like veterans' assistance, infrastructure, jobs, apprenticeships, etc. She said the Don Jr story was nothing. It lasted 20 minutes and it was about nothing.
I don't know how she knew it was about "nothing"? Cuomo impressed upon her that it was important because it showed the intent of the Russians to involve themselves in the election. It also showed that the Trump campaign, via Don Jr, were willing to communicate with foreign sources if it helped them with their campaign against Hillary Clinton.
Also, I wondered if Cuomo should have asked her if she ever had any secret meetings with Russians that had not been reported? It seems that everyone has met with the Russians on the sly?
Kellyanne was very effective at interrupting and attempting to dominate the discussion but the truth kept slapping her in the face. If I'm putting money on it, I'm betting on the truth over Kellyanne Conway.
Very interesting interview and a great job by CNN!

(5,591 posts)Where the interviewer refuses to let her manipulate everything and take her to task for being a lying, deflecting sack of crap. She is the best at being an evasive attack dog.
So far and with few exceptions none have been totally successful.
Cuomo is better at it than most, but she is a relentless asshole. And one of the worst (best) enablers of this vile "regime"

(2,380 posts)In a twisted way I almost admire her. She's the best at diverting and obfuscating I've ever seen.

(111,056 posts)But, how good is she at defending her own position?
Has she ever met with any Russians and not reported it? Does she have any investments within Russia?
Also, is her main job to attack the news media? Is she not the first to come up with the term "alternative facts"?
The best way to keep her from dominating any discussion is to cut off her mike but no one wants to do that. She does not give anyone time to get a word in edgewise.
She should be challenged on her assertions, such as the meeting only "lasted for 20 minutes and there was nothing to it"?? How does she know that? Who told her there was nothing to it? Should we believe them as a reliable source? Her sources must be questioned.
Also, interviewers should keep the interview focused on one subject at a time and not let her ramble off onto five or six different topics. They have to keep the interview focused on one or two subjects only.

(204,838 posts)And you're right, how did they let this go on for over half an hour? Though I have to say that at least she pretends to be pleasant. That Sarah Huckabee Sanders makes no such effort, she's just hostile and rude.
