Howard Dean: 'Ridiculous' to Think Trump Knew Nothing of Son's Meeting With Russian Lawyer

As far as Howard Dean sees it, it’s “ridiculous” to believe what Donald Trump Jr. says about his meeting with a Kremlin-aligned lawyer last year.

The former Democratic National Committee chairman spoke with MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts on Sunday, and they went over the news about how Trump Jr. and his father’s senior campaign staff met with a Russian operative who promised them a way to damage Hillary Clinton. When asked if he believes the latest statement from the president’s son, Dean noted how Trump Jr. changed his story multiple times already, and “there’s a lot of things that are clearly not true.”

“The first is that President Trump had no idea that this was going on,” Dean said. “If his campaign manager, his son-in-law and his son were in this meeting, to think that Donald Trump didn’t know anything about this meeting is ridiculous.”

Dean went on to say that Reince Priebus earned himself a subpoena after the White House Chief of Staff said earlier today the meeting was a hoax and a set-up by Democrats. Dean also suggested that Priebus and Trump Jr. will “probably” get convicted for perjury if ordered to testify before Robert Mueller‘s special counsel for the investigations into Russia.

is terrified of his father, (this from people who worked on the apprentcie), and is constantly seeking his approval and nervously checks the level of parental approval in his eye contact with 45. NO CHANCE he undertook this on his own.
