by Ken Meyer | 6:53 pm, July 9th, 2017
As far as Howard Dean sees it, its ridiculous to believe what Donald Trump Jr. says about his meeting with a Kremlin-aligned lawyer last year.
The former Democratic National Committee chairman spoke with MSNBCs Thomas Roberts on Sunday, and they went over the news about how Trump Jr. and his fathers senior campaign staff met with a Russian operative who promised them a way to damage Hillary Clinton. When asked if he believes the latest statement from the presidents son, Dean noted how Trump Jr. changed his story multiple times already, and theres a lot of things that are clearly not true.
The first is that President Trump had no idea that this was going on, Dean said. If his campaign manager, his son-in-law and his son were in this meeting, to think that Donald Trump didnt know anything about this meeting is ridiculous.
Dean went on to say that Reince Priebus earned himself a subpoena after the White House Chief of Staff said earlier today the meeting was a hoax and a set-up by Democrats. Dean also suggested that Priebus and Trump Jr. will probably get convicted for perjury if ordered to testify before Robert Muellers special counsel for the investigations into Russia.
