he was hunting for these 30,000 emails and supposedly in contact with people on the dark web from Russia. That was before this don jr meeting.

I think don jr took meeting thinking that maybe that contact came through and this Russian woman had or knew where they could find them. His story about her saying that Russia was funding the DNC doesn't ring true at all.
