Most Republicans View Higher Education as Bad for America

Fifty-eight percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say colleges and universities have a negative effect on the country, according to a new Pew Research Center study. This marks a 45 percent increase from last year's study. Comparatively, 72 percent of Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents say higher education has a positive impact on the country. Fifty-five percent of the general population was also found to think positively of higher education. The research center surveyed 2,504 adults across the country last month.

So, education is bad now too?

I hope these motherfuckers all get diseases that COULD have been cured if they would have recognized the value of having a SMART population instead of a COMPLIANT one...

This kind of shit makes me wish that assault and battery were forgiven if you could show 'temporary insanity'...

They constantly complain about 'safe zones' and how Universities don't allow 'free speech' and a full of 'communist' professors. The only thing that really surprises me is how fast the change has taken place in republicans attitudes. Blame Trump for that.

Sounds like a job for an intern. Get college and degree histories of all R Congresspeople. Any odd sounding or oddly spelled college names - check for diploma mills. Transcripts are probably not available.

Here is one of the replies I got, no lie:

"Every day I question whether many of these so called bastions of upper education even deserve my child. I can say without hesitation that if offered a full ride to Harvard, the answer would be an emphatic "no".
