A test for our republic
This is what I called Twitler's win.
My wife was freaking out after the election, and I told her not to worry. Our republic was strong. The founders put in checks and balances for just such a situation. Have faith, I said. Be patient.
Well, it seems clear that the republic is not well.
Conspiring or coordinating with our adversaries to steal an election seems to be okay with many of my countrymen. Our democracy is in dire straits.
My party would like to do something about it but seems powerless.
The ruling party makes excuses, deflects, pivots and enables. They are surely, deftly dismantling the federal government as quickly as possible with cover from the White House.
What to do now?
This is a test. Have we studied enough to pass? Do we deserve to pass?
