The response from the Trump supporters:

One email? Versus 33,000 emails from Hillary?

Ho-hum...

If the Democrats had been able to get the "dossier" against Trump, they would have not declined it. What is the difference?

This may seem like a big story to many of us but it is not likely to move the needle with Trump's base?

Thirteen sticks of dynamite would not move them.

But, as it has been all along, it is up to us to save the Republic. Don't expect any help from the other side.

Actually, Al Gore turned over damaging anonymous information on Bush to the FBI. So that's at least one example where the D's held to a higher moral standard than the T's/R's.

I'd forgotten all about that. Another great example of the difference between Democrats and RepubliCONS. One group can be trusted. The other group? Ahhhhh... not so much.

Welcome to DU by the way!

They have their position. All the facts in the world will not change it. Support for Trump and climate denialism are both emotion and tribe based. Facts are seen as threats.

That's why the "fake news" cry is so popular with them. And it is no coincidence that Trump supporters are almost all climate deniers.

I don't see how they can feel that way with people that share so much culturally with them, but they do. If one of the worst of them came upon us hurt and could save us, they would not. I am seeing signs that some Trump voters are seriously regretting their vote or getting there. The stench of treason is growing heavier around and maybe on Trump. I would hope that Trump voters who are patriots first will turn on him once it is clear he sold the country out.

I a liken it to religious cults and their leaders. They follow blindly. It's tough to shatter the ideology, but that is what the tactics need to be. Use the same tactics to free people from cults.
