After Maddow's report last week I don't trust the Don Jr emails

King Con can't dismantle them so its best to discredit them among the independent voters.

In effect, Trump Jr. also validated the NYT as not being "fake news" in his release.

26. Very sad but Russia has done a good job

Screwing up our country and making a split country even worse. Republicans upset with each other democrats upset with each other. A good chunk of the country says its all rigged why even bother to vote and if i do the leaders are mostly rich and don't care about me.

I heard that during campaign going door to door from people who didn't vote even before Trump was the guy and worse after.

12. If This Were a Plant...

Like the fake news that was sent to Maddow - they would have gleefully waited for the Times to release the dummy email and THEN released the real chain to discredit the media. That's not what happened here.

I think that Don Jr. isn't used to being the center of the shitstorm and thought that getting out in front was his best defense - even though it shows a willful violation of campaign finance law , I doubt Jr. knew that.

What I wonder about is who leaked the meeting ever happened? Is someone in Trump's circle aiming to take out Jr. ? I think it's more probable that Jared is the real target here as he's still an administration official. In short , I smell Steve Bannon on this one. Or , it could be Paulie Manafort finally spilling to FBI pressure - he is a direct witness to the meeting after all.

As if to save the investigators some time. Seriously? Not even coded language? Or just "Call me, some important items to discuss." Why put the details of your crime in an email? Unless they're not real emails, and are actually bait. When Trumpsky's people reveal them to all be fake, it will undermine the entire claim against him, and the American people will further distrust the media and bring Trumpsky's authoritarian take-over that much closer.
