Face it, what we are seeing is pretty unprecedented. And suspicious as hell.

Bannon hates Jared and the influence the family has on T -- what better way to take out the whole lot of them. Bannon is seeing his one shot at his Big Dream flushed down the toilet -- he needs to get T back under control if his agenda is to be enacted.

Bannon may have been clever enough to keep himself out of the Russia machinations and keep T insulated from it all.

I think we're watching a "Game of Thrones" moment...

I prefer not to attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity. Of course Bannon is a thoroughly malicious guy, but he's smart enough to know not to fuck with the Family.

It's awfully duplicitous, even for Bannon. I guess it comes down to how dumb the donald really is (or how mean).

If the family goes down, his power falls with it. Even if he is completely exonerated from the wrongdoings, he won't be seen anywhere near the halls of power for the rest of his life.
