(90,761 posts)It should happen - but I pretty much gave up on justice for government malfeasance when Bush and Cheney walked free.
Yeah, yeah. I'm not asking anyone to support my opinion nor do I care why anyone thinks I'm wrong.
The fact remains - a President and his cabinet walked away free after committing war crimes, to include torture - and some of the people tortured were tortured to death. This is hardly a shock to anyone with any time on DU that I think this way.
Change that fact and I might listen to why I'm wrong to have any doubts about bringing Trump and the rest to justice.
He (and the others) should be brought to justice and it could happen. But I'm not not all sure it will happen.

(14,274 posts)But this is so black and white. Publicly admitting to a crime?
They think they are so untouchable they come right out and say ,"Yeah, I did it. So what?" The hubris here is historically epic in scale - so much so that it will not end well for Trump & Co.

(4,723 posts)Unless the Repuke's gravy train is derailed, nothing will happen. Two scoops could get on national TeeVee and hand the bomb codes to Putin right on stage, and the Pukes would would gush about what a grand diplomatic gesture it was.
