(182,270 posts)For all the education and supposed smarts this crowd has they apparently have never heard the saying "That's my story and I'm sticking with it".
They've continually pointed towards the leakers ( it's the cookie jars fault for being clear glass) which id all their Fox News believer fans heard and it soaks up 10-20% of all other coverage. Noooo Jr. thinks he needs to "get ahead of the story" and basically confirms everything.
Trump saaaaalute
Okay so we watched "The Apprentice" for the first few seasons. First Ivanka shows up on the panel - my wife and I just rolled our eyes. THEN Donnie Jr. shows up. It was only the second season apparently. Trump introduces him - graduate of Wharton Exec VP of daddy's fabulous company - and the camera cuts to an iso on him. He had that same dumb-as-a-pile of mashed potatoes-rich-boy-lunkhead look on his face. We literally started laughing. Sure enough he didn't disappoint. "I agree with my father" "My father is right" was really all he said.
My wife has more dealings with these sons of white privilege but we've both had our turns around them. Between the laughter we're screaming at the TV "Why is he on THAT SIDE OF THE TABLE???" Almost all the contestants had much more compelling and respectable stories/backgrounds. We stopped watching shortly thereafter. The show had runs its course. The personalities just weren't interesting but we did check in to see if Donnie Jr. was on from time to time simply because he was clearly such a joke.
